Our rear-end-extensions arise from close collaboration with Custom Campers Enterprise. The guys there do all the metal work and are building the raw body. Expert knowledge and outstanding workmanship provide excellent results. We then complete and customise the raw bodywork to your individual needs to create a excellent 4×4-camper and expedition-car with outstanding offroad qualities!
Although originally intended for the TOYOTA LandCruiser, our rear-end extensions can be built at individual size and then are of course suitable for cars of different brand. Our rear-end extensions are made from high-strength but anyway lightweight 25 mm aluminium-sandwich-panels glued and riveted. This results into a warp resistant, extremly rugged connection with the car body.
The used aluminium-sandwich-panel-material provides excellent heat-insulation-capability and therefore makes additional insulation-work in fact dispensable.
Due the clever design the excellent offroad-capabilities of the basic car are remaining. The angle of driving slope will not be reduced!
The pure rear-end extension together with the hinged pop-top increases the weight of the car, related to the seriall kerb weight, only about 50 – 100 kg. Additional equipment, like fuel- or watertanks and the interior, of course raises total weight of the car. The roof area increases considerably and therefore lie down areas up to 140 cm width are possible! Even with a lie down area 220 cm deep, a 60 – 80 cm deep accessway remains!
After the modfication, the car offers, depending on interior finish, up to 5 full-fledged seats. Despite the enormous gain in space available, the size of the car allows to ship it safe in a container! The rear-end extended car remains 100% container-capable.
