Our rugged hinged pop tops are manufactured in weight saving construction. The total weight of the car will only be marginally increased (appr. 50 kg at a J7 and appr. 30 kg at a J8 respectively a J10), although the pop top handles roof load up to 100 kg. The mattress of the lie down area is appr. 8 cm strong. The canvas between pop top and car is made out of Airtex and equipped with generously sized window cutouts to the left and to the right (Option). These cutouts can be closed with zip fastener and are fitted with fly screen. Very comfortably when temperatures are high!
Although originally intended for the TOYOTA LandCruiser, our pop tops can be built at individual size and then are of course suitable for cars of different brand. We modify your car with the same carefulness, as we grant to TOYOTA-owners. Ask us for possibilities and prices, we would like to submit an offer!

And now a little sensation – at least for owners of models J8 and J10:
A hinged pop top with canvas, very similar to the pop tops for the J7-model. Made of classic aluminium checker plate or painted plain aluminium, it fits perfectly the design of the vehicle and therefore blends in to look original. This converts your J8/J10 into a real 4×4-camper and expedition-car!
The canvas can be opened at the rear end also. Together with a optional ladder, the lie down area is accessible directly from the outside in addition. The rear window cutout is also equipped with effective fly screen and can be closed with zip fastener. This is better than to sleep rough!
This is a view inside a HZJ 80-pop top (w/o canvas and shelves to provide the lie down area). The exclusive usage of only first class materials provides our pop tops to go the distance!
Looks comfortable - doesn’t it? Being appr. 110 cm wide and 200 cm deep, the lie down area offers sufficient space for two. The additional weight to carry for the vehicle is only about 30 kg! Two gas filled spring devices let you open the pop top quite easily.
You do not have to leave the vehicle to access the sleeping area due to the partitions of the bed base. (see pictures before). Very useful, not only during bad weather! A remarkable advantage over car top-tent in our opinion.
Premium workmanship and clever design results in our pop top roof being sturdy, and strong enough to be walked on when closed (roof load up to 100 kg).

These pop tops can be ordered in classic aluminium checker plate or plain aluminium – then painted the same colour as the car. The well-engineered construction of the pop-top looks elegant and fits in harmony with the appearance of the vehicle.
